Have you ever watched a sporting event in which one team suddenly gained momentum over the other? Maybe an interception was returned for a touchdown. Or a 3-point shot that totally changed the game?
 
 It’s what is called “a game-changing moment.”
 
 It means a seemingly certain defeat becomes an unexpected, grand victory. In the blink of an eye. With the snap of a finger. Just like that.
 
 Do you know there are game-changing moments throughout Scripture, too? One example is recorded in the book of Matthew. When the Roman centurion says to Jesus, “Just say the word and my servant will be healed” (8:8). Jesus said one word. And the servant was healed! At that very moment!
 
 The centurion knew that one word from Jesus could be the game-changer he needed.
