Davidisms - If You Complain, You Remain

If you look at the sins of the Israelites that initially denied them entrance into the Promised Land, it was their grumbling and complaining (Ex. 15-18). God knew that grumbling and complaining are the same as unbelief. And without faith it’s impossible to please God (Heb. 11:6).

God hates complaining. Why? Because if you complain, you remain. And that’s exactlywhat the Israelites did.

What should have been a three-week journey from Egypt to the Promised Land turned into a 40-year camping trip in the wilderness. One where all the complainers died, and God raised up a new generation who would believe his promises. Only Caleb and Joshua were allowed to enter the Promised Land. They alone had great faith.

Do everything without grumbling and complaining” (Phil. 2:14). And everythingmeans everything. God doesn’t like it when we complain!

Let your words be used to express great faith and encouragement.

Because if you complain, you remain.
