Davidisms - If You Praise, You'll Be Raised

Do you praise God in all circumstances? Even when things don’t go your way?

Paul and Silas did while in prison at Philippi, likely while being beaten. Surely broken. Yet, they praised! While chained to a wall they “were praying and singing hymns to God” (Acts 16:25).

And guess what happened next?

Their chains were broken. They quite literally fell off. They were miraculously set free by God.

Praising is the opposite of complaining. If you complain, you remain. But if you praise, you’ll be raised!

Try praising God in your pain. Thank him for your many benefits. Your many blessings.

Do it today! From your own prison of discouragement, choose to praise! It’s one of the most powerful spiritual weapons God has given his people to fight the wiles of the enemy.

Because when you praise, you’ll be raised - to new life and hope - like you’ve never known before.
