Davidisms - Sow a Seed to Your Need

You reap what you sow (Gal. 6:7). This proverb appears throughout Scripture. Its meaning is simple, yet it reveals an astounding truth: Our future consequences are shaped by our present actions.

I watched my wife Marilynn live this out. We both wanted a baby badly, but she was experiencing infertility.

What did she do? Her disappointment led her to serve and counsel women at the Crisis Pregnancy Center. Women who were pregnant, but didn’t want to be.

While we waited on the Lord to answer our prayers, Marilynn sowed seeds of love. She helped convince women with unwanted pregnancies that the child within was a real human life. A baby. Someone God loved and could use for his great purposes.

She sowed a seed to her need. And then, when God finally answered our prayers and gave us a child, Marilynn had helped dozens of women choose life.

Where are you hurting? Go serve someone else in that area of need.

And watch your miracle occur.

You do reap what you sow.
