My Personal God - My Cup

The eternal God of the universe wants to be your close, personal friend. He longs for you to know Him as my Trust, my Father, my Delight. To become your personal God.
 
 When you know God intimately, and turn to Him as you would a close friend, you begin to grasp the overwhelming goodness of His character. The vastness of His love. The multitude of ways He provides for you daily.
 
 It’s then when you know God as “my cup” (Psalm 16:5). To the godly, the Lord offers a cup of blessings. A cup that overflows with grace. One that promises to satiate every thirst.
 
 Think about it. When you’re thirsty, you not only need water, you need a cup. Something from which you can drink until your thirst is satisfied. So the water cannot spill on the ground. The cup is the needed conduit for your thirst to be satisfied.
 
 God loves it when we hunger and thirst for Him and His righteousness (Matthew 5:6). That’s why we need to know God personally as our cup.
 
 Do you know God as your cup? Pray to Him now: “Daddy, You are mine! Thank you for Your love and provision. Remind me to drink daily from Your cup of grace. I want to be saturated with Your love, and filled to the brim with Your blessings and provision.”
 
 “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul thirsts for you, O God” (Psalm 42:1).
 
 You are my personal God. My Cup.
