Davidisms: Develop an Attitude of Gratitude

You are what you think. As you think, so you are. This is a truth that is repeated throughout the Bible. “Be transformed by the renewal of your mind (Romans 12:2). “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things (Philippians 4:8). Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth” (Colossians 3:2). These Bible verses teach us how to develop God’s way of thinking. God’s ways are full of thanksgiving and gratitude. When we choose to regularly think thoughts of thanks, we acknowledge - with deep humility - that all we have is a gift from God. The greatest of which is the gift of eternal life. The greatest display of grace. An undeserved gift. Set your mind on all that God has given to you. You’ll see an attitude of gratitude welling up inside of you. When you do so, you will never be the same.
