As followers of Jesus, Christians need to have solid doctrinal beliefs. To know what is true in both doctrine and theology.

But it’s much more important to know personally the one in whom you believe: Jesus.

No Christian ever was more doctrinally sound than the apostle Paul. But it was his personal relationship with Jesus that kept him going in the midst of persecution, imprisonment and pain. Facing imminent death, Paul penned these words: “For I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that day what has been entrusted to me” (2 Timothy 1:12).

Do you know Jesus personally, your friend in whom you believe?

Remember, it’s the personal relationship you have with Jesus now that will carry you through this life and all its trials. And finally into heaven.

It’s not just what you believe that’s important but knowing the One in whom you believe that matters most.
