The eternal God of the universe wants to be your close, personal friend. He longs for you to know Him as my Savior, my Mighty Rock, my Strong Refuge. To become your personal God. Your heavenly Daddy also wants to be your shelter. A fortress when you are weak. He wants you to know Him as “my strong tower” (Psalm 61:2). Imagine being at the highest point of a strong, tall tower. You’re able to look down at everything below. You’re able to see over your enemies. The higher your position, the greater your security. And because the tower is strong, your enemies are held at bay. This strong tower - a fortified fortress - cannot be scaled. It’s impossible to topple. It’s unable to be breached or overthrown. God is your Strong Tower. His very presence lifts you over your enemies. With Him you are eternally safe. Do you know your God as your strong tower? Pray to Him now: “Daddy, I need your protection. Take me higher where I am safe. Secure. Above my enemies. Be my strong tower! I know in Your presence I am eternally safe.” The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and are saved” (Proverbs 18:10).
