Davidisms: A Key for Success - Enthusiasm

The word “enthusiasm” comes from the Greek word “entheos” which means “the God within.”

When God is within us - through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit - how then can we not be enthusiastic? Joyful? Cheerful? Light-hearted?

Enthusiasm is a key for success in the lives of Christ-followers. Scripture exhorts us to be “zealous” for what is good (1 Peter 3:13). To “not be slothful in zeal, but fervent in Spirit” (Romans 12:11).

If Jesus lives in us, and He is the hope of our glory, should not His followers be the most enthusiastic, happiest, zealous, encouraging, upbeat and jovial people on the face of the earth (Colossians 1:27)?

For we have found the secret to life: God in Christ lives in us. Empowering and strengthening us by the minute. No matter what obstacle or difficulty we may face.

And we live successfully, in God, in his strength, and for His glory alone.
