The eternal God of the universe wants to be your close, personal friend. He longs for you to know Him as my Hope, my Trust, my Father. To become your personal God. Our heavenly Daddy also wants us to know Him as “my delight” (Psalm 16:3). God is my laughter. Fun. Enjoyment in life. And when we delight ourselves fully in Him, God has promised that He will give us the desires of our heart (Psalm 37:4). We’re able to live a life of abundance and fulfillment for which we constantly praise Him for all He has done. Why? Because it’s God who fills our minds with joyful, pleasing thoughts. It’s our Father who gave us a sense of humor - and He wants us to use it each and every day. He loves to hear His children laugh! And conversely - we have no right to be sour. Or sour about life. No! God wants us to live each day with a joyful heart as we find our delight in Him. Do you know the Lord as your delight? Pray to Him today: “Lord, I want to know You as my personal delight. Help me find joy from within as I delight myself in You. Remind me to laugh often. Lead me to an abundant life with a joy-filled heart.” Delight yourself in the One who delights in you. Your personal Delight!
