In whatever situation you may find yourself, keep trying to love. Choose love. We can count on it - always - because love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8).

Love is who God is. It conquers hate, bitterness, envy, and strife. Any negative experience you are going through can be counterattacked through love.

Love is the most powerful force in the universe. God’s holiness is what motivated his wrath against us. His love stimulated His incarnation and cross to forgive us.

The hallmark of a Christ-follower is how we love others. Jesus commanded us to love each other in the same way he has loved us (John 13:34). That’s the key.

Ponder how much Jesus has loved us. Consider the cross. His love is willing to die for wretched sinners like you and me.

It’s easy to love likable people. But we’re also commanded by Jesus to love our enemies. And while this is impossible to do in our own strength, it happens supernaturally when Jesus lives within us.

This forgiving love allowed Jesus to love Judas, His betrayer, at the Last Supper. And in the Garden of Gethsemane, He greeted him with a kiss. Until His final breath on the cross, Jesus loved His enemies: “Father, forgive them. They don’t know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34).

Always choose to allow Jesus’s love to flow through you. No matter what situation you may find yourself, love.

That’s because Jesus’s love never fails.
