Davidisms: Fear knocked. Faith answered. No one was there.

Fear is an emotion we all experience at times. But fear is not from God (2 Timothy 1:7). It’s from the enemy of your soul. The evil one who wants to destroy your life uses fear as his sharpest tool to do so.

Here’s the good news; the one antidote I’ve discovered that regularly defeats fear is faith. Great faith. Unshakeable faith. Undaunted faith.

Over 300 times in the Bible we are told to “Fear not!” (Isaiah 41:10). God did not give us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). Time and time again, Jesus confronted the fear in his disciples by pointedly asking them, “Where is your faith?” (Luke 8:25). After Jesus miraculously healed people, he would say to some, “Your faith has made you well” (Mark 5:34).

Defeat faith in your life today! Cast your cares on Jesus (1 Peter 5:7). Trust him. Give your battles to the Lord. He will fight for you (Exodus 14:14).

So, when fear knocks on the door of your heart, send your faith to answer.

Guess what? When faith opens the door, all fear is gone!
