Davidisms - Going to Church Doesn't Make You a Christian

Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than living in a garage makes you an automobile. Think about it. A Christian is one whose life is totally devoted to Jesus. Jesus lives in you. And you in Jesus (Gal. 2:20). You were called by him. You are willing to die for him. Total surrender. Because of your love for Jesus, going to church is essential. Important and necessary. The church is the bride of Jesus. When you love him, you love his wife - his bride - the church. But simply attending church services does not make you a follower of Jesus. Anyone can go to church! Even those under Satan’s control. What makes you a follower of Jesus is how you live your life. Use your words. Serve others. Spread the gospel. Love Jesus. And love going to church. Just remember that going to church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than living in a garage makes you an automobile.
