Are you a giver or getter? Generous or miserly? If you are not generous, you probably don’t understand Jesus’s grace. Here is a great question to answer: When someone hurts you, what’s your first inclination? Revenge? Or forgiveness? When you understand what Jesus gave for you, you want to emulate him in every area of your life. Forgiving others. Generously giving away money and possessions to those in need. You want to give as he has given to you. Do you realize - truly comprehend - that God has forgiven you a billion-dollar debt for your sin? In comparison, when you forgive someone who has hurt you, you’re forgiving a mere 10-dollar debt. A billion dollars vs. 10 dollars. Quite an astounding imbalance when you think about it (Eph. 4:32). When we know what’s been done for us, we’re able to freely give anything away. That’s why the best givers are forgivers.
