The eternal God of the universe wants to be your close, personal friend. He longs for you to know Him as my Delight, my Cup, my Lamp. To become your personal God. King David knew God as “my Savior” (Psalm 18:2). When he was in trouble, God came to save him. Rescue him from trouble and trial. Jesus did the same for us. God gave His Son the name “Jesus,” which means “Savior.” Why? Because Jesus came to earth to save us from the guilt of sin. He pursued us to rescue us from the depravity of hell, sin’s strength and destruction, and the devil’s power. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, He saves us from our sins. Do you know God as your personal Savior? Have you asked Him to be the Lord of your life? If not, do so now! Profess your faith! Pray to God, “Father, You love me so much that You left heaven to pursue me on earth. You died to save me from separation from You. You took the penalty of my wrath upon Yourself so that I may have the gift of eternal life. The power to overcome my sin. The strength to resist the devil and see him flee.” State with King David that God is “my Savior.” He is! And the Savior’s personal name is Jesus. Your friend forever and ever.
