Davidisms - Do Your Job!

In my early years of ministry, I asked one of my bosses what I could do to best help him.

He didn’t hesitate with his response. He pointedly said: “Do your job.”

Every team has individual members with different gifts. For the team to succeed, the team member must do his job well. Great teams always achieve more collaboratively than can be achieved individually.

And when each member of a team does his or her job well, the team wins!

Similarly, each member of a church - or any ministry - has individual persons with specific callings within their church. “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it” (1 Cor. 12:27).

No church member should attend church services just to sit and soak. Instead, we are called to use our individual gifts to contribute to the success of the whole body.

You are called to do your job. Whatever that may be.

When done, the church becomes a powerful, immovable force in the world!

A force that consistently wins against the enemy and all the powers of the kingdom of darkness.
