Davidisms: God Collects All Our Tears in a Bottle

“You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call. This I know, that God is for me" (Psalm 56:8-9)

Amazing, isn’t it? That God collects all our tears in a bottle. Every single one of them. Think deeply about that reality. Every tear, wherever or whenever shed, God captures. Knows and cares about.

God does so because he is a loving Daddy who remembers everything that has happened to us. He knows our sufferings. Feels our pain. Hurts as we hurt. Cries as we cry. Mourns as we mourn.

Every tear has meaning to God. He understands and knows all you’ve been through.

Claiming this promise over our lives enables us to look forward with hope to eternity when, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” (Revelation 21:4).

The day when God makes all things new! And shows us how he used each tear for our good and his glory.
