Davidisms - If You Don't Come Apart, You'll Come Apart

When was the last time you got away with God? Retreated somewhere quiet? Spent an afternoon in prayer? There are times when life becomes so hard and frenzied that the only way to move forward is in a quiet place. By retreating and spending time alone with your Father. Why? Because if you don’t come apart, you’ll come apart. Jesus often withdrew from the crowds. He sought out secluded places to spend time with his Father and pray (Luke 5:16). Rest. Refresh. Revitalize. The Jews also had many different festivals and feasts they observed throughout the year. In the Old Testament, they were commanded to hold these festivals. Probably because God knew that they needed them. Time to be with family, friends, and to remember God’s faithfulness. Do the same! Take a day off to spend time with God. But also use your vacation time to be with family. Friends. And become refreshed and renewed. Because if you don’t come apart, you’ll come apart.
