Davidisms - Understand the Law of Reciprocity in the Universe

Everyone knows the law of gravity: “What goes up must come down.” There are other laws of the universe as well, some found in the spiritual realm. Here is one such law. The spiritual law of reciprocity: Whatever you give out, you’ll get back. Scripture says it this way: “A man reaps what he sows” (Gal. 6:7b). Examples of the law of reciprocity appear throughout Scripture. For example, Jesus said, “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy” (Mat. 5:7). If you want God to give you mercy when you make a mistake, then you should give mercy to someone who needs it from you. “Give, and it will be given to you” (Luke 6:38). Giving with a cheerful heart opens the door to God’s abundant blessings in your life. One of my mom’s favorites was, “If you want a friend, be a friend.” It’s a simple law of the universe that God has woven into his created order. It finds itself rooted in a heart of generosity. With money. Possessions. Relationships. Everything. Practice and perfect the law of reciprocity in your life. You’ll never regret it when you do.
