Where do you stare?

The truth is that most of us stare at our problems and merely glance at God.

Think about it. Our lives are lived in a dark and fallen world. When we stare at our lives, we’re often staring at some degree of despair. Harm. Hurt. And unbelief.

The truth is this: whatever you fix your mind on, that’s where you’re headed. And where you will end up.

Are you focused on the kingdom of darkness? Or the kingdom of light? You have a choice. Focusing on this world -a temporal and transient one. Or, the eternal one. Heavenly and glorious. An eternity with Jesus.

Therefore, fix your mind on the eternal kingdom, on things that are above, and not on earthly things (Col. 3:2). Our true citizenship is in heaven. And if you are a Christian, it’s your eternal home.

If our eyes are truly staring at God - steadily fixed on our Creator - our minds will be filled with perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3).

Where you stare, beware!

You will become like what your thoughts are fixed on.
