An Answer to Seven Years of Prayer

06.17.20226

Today, we are excited to share news that marks a significant milestone in the life of our church and a powerful testament to God's faithfulness. After seven years of prayer, discernment, and searching for a permanent home, Moments of Hope Church has entered into an agreement to purchase the Morrison YMCA property in Ballantyne. During this journey, The Keith Corporation, led by our Vice Chairman of the Elder Board, Greg Keith, examined more than 200 locations, trusting God would open the right door at the right time. We believe this opportunity is an answer to countless prayers and His faithful provision for our church family. For years, we have believed that a permanent home would allow us to deepen our impact, expand our ministry and create a lasting place where Hopesters can know Jesus more intimately, grow in their faith, and just go and serve others for His glory. This campus will provide the space and flexibility to support this vision for generations to come. It's also a gift to our children and our grandchildren until the Lord returns. There is so much we will be able to accomplish on this new property. In addition to creating dedicated worship and discipleship spaces, we envision a campus that serves our congregation and broader community throughout the week. There will be wholeness and fitness opportunities for Hopesters, teaching spaces, rooms for people to come together throughout the week, outreach to vulnerable and underserved communities, youth sports and family-focused activities, and other opportunities as well. We are committed to find as many ways as possible to share the gospel of hope with word and deed to the Charlotte community and around the world. Please know that this transition will take time. The YMCA will continue to operate in the facility through a transition period that will last into the summer of 2027. We are grateful for the partnership and cooperation of the YMCA throughout this process and look forward to working together for a smooth transition. As we celebrate this answered prayer, let us once again emphasize that the church is not a building but the people, all of you, who make up our church. Yet we also recognize that we need a permanent home and this facility will help us accomplish our mission. What a blessing it is to finally have a place we can call home! May it mostly be used as a launching pad to Jesus's calling upon Moments of Hope Church. Thank you for your abiding love, friendship, prayers, and faithfulness in this journey. We look forward to our Lord's future for Moments of Hope Church. And, as always, may Jesus alone receive all the honor and glory. Under His Grace,

A Growing Church

Our first Sunday was in April 2019 at Alexander Graham Middle School, where more than 500 people gathered. Since then, we’ve grown to two services with over 1,100 attending each weekend.

Lives Changed by Jesus

Baptism is at the heart of who we are as a church. We’ve had the incredible privilege of witnessing more than 600 lives publicly transformed through baptism — each one a powerful story of faith and new beginnings.
