Davidisms: Get Strife Out of Your Life

What words come to mind when you think of strife?

Maybe conflict. Disagreement. Hostility.

Here’s what the Word of God has to say about strife: Get strife out of your life!

When strife exists in your life, “there will be disorder and every vile practice” (James 3:16). Strife invites a multitude of other evils into your heart: bitterness, anger, hate.

How to eliminate strife from your life?

Do a strife inventory. Think of people and situations in your life that usher in strife, with chaos and disorder tagging along.

Then, get rid of them! Eliminate these drains from your life.

Every single one.

Get strife out of your life! When you do so, evil will exit. Conflict will cease.

And faith, hope, and love will enter into your hearts (1 Corinthians 13:13).
