Davidisms: God's Delay Is Not His Denial

At different times in our lives, God delays his answers to our prayers (Psalm 37:7).

Why would God make us wait for an answered prayer? Because as we wait on the Lord, our faith becomes stronger. “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).

But make sure you understand this: As we are waiting on God, his delay does not mean his denial. He is still working, even when we can’t see or feel it.

God is always working - oftentimes behind the scenes - to accomplish his perfect plan, in his perfect way, for our good and his glory (Romans 8:28).

Don’t give up on the desires of your heart! Persevere. Keep praying. Believing. God is working. He is a good Father.

For God’s delay is not his denial.
