Keep praying! It’s what I constantly tell moms with wandering kids (Mat. 7:7-11). Don’t give up! If you want to fight for your kids, do so through prayer! One of the most powerful forces in the universe is a praying mom. Her love for her kids is beyond comparison. It’s why the hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world. One of the greatest saints in the history of the church, Augustine, was a wandering philanderer. But his Christian mom wouldn’t give up. She persisted in prayer. Over and over, she prayed unyieldingly for Augustine’s redemption. And eventually, Augustine came to faith! Saint Augustine became one of the most noted theologians in church history. Here’s my point. If you’re a wandering child with a praying mom, you may as well come to faith now. Repent. Leave your profligate ways. For if you have a praying mom, you’re toast!
