Davidisms - Memory

Dear Readers, this will be our last blog of 2021, as our entire church staff will be on vacation the week after Christmas. Our daily blogs will resume on Monday, January 3rd. On behalf of our Moments of Hope Church family, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Memory.

Christmas is filled with warm and joyful memories for many of us. Times of family. Food. Friends. Fun. Football. Worship. Candlelight. Gifts. Sharing. Grace.

Memory is a gift from God. A very special gift he’s given to each of us. One for which we often forget to say thank you.

Spend some time today and tomorrow remembering the cherished and meaningful Christmas memories you’ve shared with family and friends. Then thank God for them. Each and every one of them. “And forget not all God’s benefits” (Psalm 103:2).

And don’t forget to thank the baby in the manger, Jesus, who grew up and lived the perfect life we could never live. Died in our place on the cross. Our sins forgiven.

Forever.

It’s an eternal truth we should never forget.
