Davidisms - Shoot for the Stars

This one is from my dad. He said it to me repeatedly. Dream a big dream. And if you don’t succeed, you’ll still be in a place you’ve never been before. God wants you to dream big dreams! In fact, he said that people perish when there is no vision (Prov. 29:18). Read Genesis 37. Note the big dreams he gave to Joseph. Ones that eventually came true! A life without a dream is just wandering. Dream big! Don’t let fear dominate your life. Shoot for the stars! And if you only reach the moon, so what? Rejoice! You’ve never been to the moon before. And maybe landing on the moon was God’s dream for you after all. For no plan of his can be thwarted (Job 42:2). Shoot for the stars! You may only reach the moon - but you’ve never been to the moon before.
