My Personal God: My Helper

The eternal God of the universe wants to be your close, personal friend. He is your support, your redeemer, and your chosen portion.

Do you know the Lord also wants to be your helper? Think about that. The Creator of all wants to personally help you. King David referred to God as “my helper” (Psalm 30:10). In the same way God helped King David, he wants to help you.

There are many ways the Lord wants to help you. He wants to stand beside you. Move in you. Work through you. Bless you. And give you peace.

You can go about your day with complete confidence knowing God is helping you. He is an ever-present help in times of trouble and the best friend you could ever have! God is often moving on your behalf without you even knowing it. When you seek him with your whole heart, he goes before you and shows you which path to take.

When you feel weak, remember, God is strong! He is helping you and will strengthen you to be more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). You can do anything through Christ Jesus, who gives you strength (Philippians 4:13). In John 14:26, Jesus said that the Holy Spirit, the advocate, or the helper, “whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

Our God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - promises to help each one of us at every turn!

Pray to the Lord today: “Daddy, be my helper! Stand by my side. I know that if you are for me, nothing can stand against me! Jesus, please help me throughout my day. Teach me to follow your ways.”

God has been our help in ages past. He will be our help for years to come! When you really believe this, you will find strength in him every day.
